
There's been a lot of discussion at work about color (I do software User Interface design), and I needed some therapy in the other direction -- so I think I'm going to work in B&W today until I learn something about controlling anti-color. Also, with UI's as it is with photos, I think understanding B&W is probably good practice before tossing color into the mix.

Bee Macros


Overcast day in Atlanta, big softbox in the sky. We have some Pineapple Sage in a corner of the yard, filled with bees this time of year. I grabbed the enlarging lens and bellows setup and took a few random hand-held shots. The depth of field is really, really shallow with this setup, not sure if it would be that shallow if I used another setup. Anyway, quick stab at seeing how close the bees would let me get to them...
