I'm looking to hook up with some local Atlanta photography clubs / groups. Thought I'd share the list I was creating...
Google shows me these, but I'm sure there are many others. If you want your groups name added to this list, drop me an email bjw@mindspring.com. (Last updated 7/3/2008)
In no particular order:
Atlanta Photography -- http://www.atlantaphotography.org/ -- (I've written about them and a lighting workshop they hosted before.) From their website: goal "is to provide a launching pad for photographers in establishing a presence in the Atlanta art community through non-juried exhibitions and education."
Atlanta Photography Group -- http://www.apgphoto.org/ -- According to their website "Goal is to promote and support contemporary photography as a significant art form."
Atlanta Photographer's Guild -- http://www.atlantaphotographersguild.com/ -- According to Flickr "The Atlanta Photographers Guild is the most active group of professional and hobbyist photographers in the Atlanta area. Meetings are held on a bi-weekly basis and feature aspiring and professional models as subjects."
Roswell Photo Society -- http://www.roswellphotosociety.org -- Website mentions two monthly meetings: a Program Meeting that includes a presentation by a featured speaker, and a Photo Review meeting where examples of members' work is critiqued by an expert in photography.
Southeastern Photo Society -- http://www.spsatlanta.org/ -- Website says "to provide members with the tools for capturing images and sharing them with others."
Atlanta Photographic Society -- http://www.atlantaphotographic.org/ -- According to their website "photography club established for the enjoyment of people sharing an interest in photography."
Cobb Photographic Society -- http://www.cobbphotosociety.com/ -- Website says "opportunity for like-minded photographers to meet and discuss photography issues, trends, and concerns."
Atlanta Photographer's Network -- http://www.atlantaphotographersnetwork.com -- Conducts a "shootout" every other Tuesday in Lilburn.
Did you find the answer you were looking for? If not, check out this recent blog entry. I am soliciting technical studio "problems" from readers to research and post results on the blog. You might have just the problem I'm looking for.
